It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

1. I don't consider myself very interesting. If my life were a movie, I wouldn't buy a ticket to see it.

4. I don't own an iPod, an iPhone, a Blackberry, or any functioning portable entertainment devices, except for one old, utilitarian cell phone.

6. I wish I could get all of our appliances/electronics/vehicles working reasonably well at the same time.
7. I can't stand seeing or hearing people chewing with their mouths open. Or leaving used gum on the bannister!
8. I have recurring nightmares about having to wash huge amounts of laundry.

1. I feel the same about my own. ._.
3. I was in both the school choir and church choir. Church got more members...I was the first go be let go. :XD: Oh well, I tried.
4. I couldn't live without my MP3 player but I can certainly live without the i-pod etc.
7.Ack! People eating with their mouthes hanging open totally turns my stomach. I wrestle with a strong urge to walk over and hit them repeatedly until they stop. >.<

1-2- relax ^^ this is very interesting for me
3- I was part of the school choir in elementary school =_= I sucked so hard they always put me at the end of line of girls, so I didn't even appear correctly on stage xD
4- I personally think buying those things is a waste of money.
5- I've never seen one T_T
7- It's so horrible isn't it? I cant eat properly if I see that kind of thing >.<
8- that seems scary D: I dreamed of having to wash a huge, spiriling stair once >_<"
